Are you still puzzled by donor newsletters?

Then this webinar is just your cup of tea!

YOU'LL LEARN
exactly WHY some charity newsletters are loved & bring in lots of extra gifts ... while so many others fall flat. PLUS there's the "all you can eat" Q&A --- where every question you can think of (about donor newsletters, anyway) gets some kind of answer (more details below).

------

DEAR fundraisers ~ CEOs & EDs ~ nonprofit communication chiefs ~ freelance writers ~ consultants ~ small shops & big ... this single, celebrated webinar will reveal the success secrets of charity newsletters ... as well as fatal flaws you must avoid.

Soon: this June 15, 2023

PS, BTW: This is the spiffy new 2023 edition. For Ahern frequent fliers: I update my core shows all the time, as I learn, see ... and have new things to show you!

AND THERE'S MORE: Your $139-per-computer registration ALSO guarantees you a seat at the table AFTER the webinar ... for what we call our "all you can eat" Q&A.

Which means...???

Until the audience runs out of questions, we continue to answer. Or try to: in detail ~ however long it takes. It can be an interesting way to spend a half-day professionally. "Half-day," you wonder? Well, one recent unlimited Q&A session ran on for more than 4 extra hours ... AFTER the formal 1.5-hour webinar training concluded. (As you might imagine, we all needed a bathroom break. That's built in.)

Will you be with us on June 15?

Join Tom Ahern ... and Tom's special guest, donor-stewardship guru, Rachel Muir ... for this updated, improved, concentrated, filtered, exclusive, unique, nothing else like it on earth 2023 super-sized webinar + Q&A edition of ....

GREAT DONOR newsletters:
digital/print.

One more time: Newsletters are donor-retention's best friend. (AND can make your charity serious money, too!)

Here is Tom Ahern's reality-based promise to you:

... a decent donor newsletter can be the gift that keeps on giving to your mission, whether:

  • you're tuning up an existing donor newsletter
  • or are considering a donor-newsletter launch

------

Calling all time zones:

Yes! It's recorded...

The entire presentation is recorded, visuals and sound, beginning to end ... including our unique "all you can eat" Q&A.

If you are on the other side of the planet, no worries. Watch everything at your convenience!

Tom Ahern's "essentials updated" webinars typically attract people like you: the ambitious, career-minded, today's top-performers & tomorrow's-superstars on several continents. A recent Ahern webinar attracted attendees from 8 countries; most Canadian provinces; and most US states (plus DC).

------

Talking now to nonprofit support centers, community foundations, AFP chapters, etc.: Can you buy just ONE registration ... and then invite a crowd to watch a big screen, you clever rascals?

YES! PLEASE! We encourage it!!!

You aggregators (community foundations and such) could end up with hundreds of attendees watching a unique, world-class how-to show for a grand total of $139.

PS: We like it when that happens. All smiles.

------

Affordable? $139 per registration
Return on investment? NO limits!

It's worth pointing out the obvious: one extra modest gift down the road for your charity ... thanks to what you might learn at this webinar on June 15 ... will pay for your registration ... many times over.

Some nonprofits have a hard time embracing ROI: Return On Investment ... yet you've all heard the saying: "It takes money to make money." That applies to the fundraising world as well as the commercial world.

$139 per registration >>> Could you make back your registration fee 50 times over in year one? One small-town library did.

------

Handouts? Of course!

By the way, you'll need to be reminded of key tips from time to time (who doesn't? ~ Tom Ahern included; a Harvard study found that 80% of what we thought we'd learned today, was forgotten by tomorrow....)

.... SO, once the webinar's over, you'll get this fabulous PDF Cheatsheet! And that's not all....

Newsletters survived the Pandemic....

When COVID-19 hit, interest in donor newsletters spiked, as charities chased ways to communicate despite isolation.

During those uncertain times, Tom Ahern (the June 15 webinar's instructor) led the creative teams behind two new and highly lucrative donor newsletters.

Both are print newsletters, coordinated with companion emails.

Both are now written in-house (after staff training and some early-on handholding that got lighter and lighter over time).

  • One Ahern-derived newsletter mails quarterly ... from a national charity doing incredible work overseas with refugees. That newsletter, at last report, now raises almost a half-million $$$ in extra gifts each time it mails. (Please note: It took about 4 issues to get all the details working right.)
  • The other, for a local California environmental charity, at last report, makes $70K-$90K every time it mails quarterly. (Again, it took about 4 issues to figure everything out ... and it mails to a much smaller donor base.) For that Bay Area cause, the new donor newsletter now adds more than a quarter-million dollars annually in essential, heartfelt charity for a small-ish organization.

Please, join us.

When: June 15, 2023, Thursday, @ 1 PM EST
(yes: it WILL BE RECORDED, for the convenience of other time zones; and that recording will be yours to keep)

How about some other time in 2023? Sorry: There'll be just this one presentation. It takes a year to update each show. The next will be in 2024.

What you'll consume: a 1.5-hour SUPERwebinar followed by an "all you can eat" Q&A.

Cost: Probably a million bucks of know-how (give it a few years) ... BUT you pay JUST US$139 per connection (we INVITE you to game the system! >>> i.e., fill a hall with fundraisers staring at one big screen!!!!)

------

Join world-authority Tom Ahern [bio below] for this exclusive, unique (nothing else like it worldwide) SUPERwebinar training event.

In the comfort of your own office, watching live or the recorded presentation...

In just 1.5 hours (+ all the Q&A in the world), you WILL learn to turn your nonprofit's print and emailed newsletter into a powerful stewardship tool that will increase donor retention ... harvest added gifts ... and boost fundraising's most important metric: donor Lifetime Value.

You'll train with Tom Ahern, the international expert who literally WROTE THE BOOK (two actually; the latest is a 2nd edition) on profitable donor newsletters.

------

So, Michelle Brinson, super-star, how did you learn to create a world-envied, hyper-lucrative donor newsletter?

She replied: "There was this guy named Tom Ahern...."

~ Michelle Brinson's ground-breaking, record-setting print and e-mailed newsletters for Nashville Rescue Mission brought in more than $2 million annually in EXTRA donations for years, thru 2022. ΒΆ Michelle credits Ahern training with pointing her in the right direction. Ahern takes no credit. Everything he knows he's learned from others ... and that sharp whip: trial and error. ΒΆ Solemn truth? Your donor newsletter's success will depend on your execution ultimately: i.e., what you know in-house. ΒΆ In this 1.5 hour master webinar, you'll learn everything you basically need to know ... to execute in-house a donor-inspiring newsletter, digital and/or print!

SHAMELESS BIO...

"Tom Ahern ... is one of the country’s most sought-after creators of fund-raising messages.” – The New York Times, Nov. 2016

Like many copywriters working in fundraising, I am a failed novelist. However, I have authored five pretty-well-received how-to books on the topic of lucrative donor comms.

  • I deliver dozens of workshops annually to fundraisers internationally, speaking in 2018-2019 in Italy, Norway, Scotland ... as well as across North America. {And then came the Pandemic ... and say goodbye to airplanes.}

  • It is also true that I am an award-winning commercial copywriter and magazine journalist (though nothing big-big like a Pulitzer).

  • Clients in the last decade ... for audits, cases, direct mail and comms consulting ... include CARE, USA for UNHCR, Tomaquag (an Indigenous-led museum), the Swedish Medical Foundation (Seattle), Connecticut Humane Society, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, ADRA, Bow Valley College (Calgary), Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford University, various Planned Parenthood affiliates, Save the Children, Sharp HealthCare and other major hospital systems, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (USA) ... as well as many fabulous smaller and local nonprofits.

  • For a bunch of years, I served humbly as the donor communications coach for Bloomerang, the world's fastest-growing donor database management system for charities below $20 million in annual income. I was also the co-creator for a popular online certificate course on donor communications, available through the Institute for Sustainable Philanthropy.
